Hi all! I am glad this community. My question to anyone...is it a violation of law to curse out telemarketers (or collectors) that have called one too many times? My husband lost his temper and let loose and now I'm wondering and a little worried about any repercusions.

Even if it was illegal, I don't think any judge would ever convict you.

Just out of curioisity, I checked into this. If the call is one a telemarketer placed to you, you can basically say whatever the hell you want and they have no legal recourse against you. If you called them back, yes they could file a complaint, but on the other hand as our CA explained it, why would a telemarketing company that is operating illegally try to file a complaint against one of their victims, because all it do is draw attention to their own criminal activity.
