I recently got a call from Unknownname 800-290-7432 as the number. They have called about 5 times and somehow know my name. Has any one had experiances with this number. Please if you have tell me.

Uhhh, I called 800-290-7432 and the recording I got said "Thank you for calling America Online."

yeah just about 5 min ago, i had recieved the call from that number, it was a bit strange because he asked for my brother, he is only 13, i dont know what he wanted with him, i told him he wasnt there and hung up on him. After the call i decided to google the number and i found this website.

did any of yall ever find out what they called for? because they callled me and knew my name and i hung up

I have been receiving this call about 5 times a day, ive tried to call the number back and they wont ever answer it

I dont even have AOL on my computer

We're getting this number showing up on the caller ID as well, several times a day, regardless the hour. 3am, 4pm, 8am, 11am and so on.

It seems to be a SPAMMER number. They call you so often that they provoke you to call the 800 number back. Once you to call back their number, they say they are from AOL. Usually the person has a spanish accent, other times not. They want to offer you a great deal with AOL that you can't really refuse. Then to approve the deal, they ask you to push a few numbers on your touch-tone phone. Once you hang up, they now have free-access along with free-control over your phone number and service. In a month you'll see charges on your phone bill that would raise your anger.

The only way to block the call is to either not answer it and/or not call them back. Try and have your phone company block it.

Having your phone company block this number isn't easy. They may charge you a fee to do this too.

I've gotten a call from them and reported it.

omg sumone called me with this phone #1-727-471-1407 they asked for my checking #, and the only reason i gave it to them was because i had just opened a new cititzen bank account and thought they were calling to confirm. Then near the end of the phone call they said they were from a traveling agency....so the next moring(when i relized wat a fool i made of myself) i immediatly called up the bank and took out my money and closed my accoutn up. and i told the bank to report them ...if i ever get a phone call from them again....they'll bring the devil outta me.

i got a call from the same number as this one i'm quoting i looked it up and came up with this(The phone number "(727) 471-1407" is a Stpetersburg, FL based phone number and the registered carrier is Itc Delta Com - Fl. )found it to be a telemarketing money making scheme

I called the number back and was hopefully able to get the calls stopped. I did try to block the number using call block, but the service was unavailable for that number. The only thing the operator asked for that I was unwilling to give was my AOL screen name, because I have a free account for six months that I don't want to lose in case my DSL goes down for some reason.

I have been getting 3 or 4 calls from this number a day for 2 weeks.

(I assumed it was a bill collector, haha, so i didnt answer)

they have NEVER once left a message, which further upsets me. I refused to answer the telephone.

today, i got 7 calls in a one hour time span. i had enough and entered this telephone number into google to see what it would come up with. glad i read this forum. how can i get these calls to stop??????

this really pisses me off, that someone is trying to scam me, and bothers me for countless hours when my phone rings and rings. i wish this caller was locally based.... trust me, NOBODY would be getting these calls again.

you cant dial a phone if you dont have any fingers.
