I was just watching an episode of "Friends" on UPN Channel 44 here in Tampa, Florida and when they went to commercials I couldn't believe the promo that I saw. It was a 30 second commercial for Suntasia Marketing looking for people to hire. I saw a few familiar faces in the promo, one of them being a manager named Heather. She definitely is a beautiful woman and I am not surprised they chose her to speak on the commercial but sadly they actually want to come across as a "family" atmosphere type of environment emphasizing on the $13 an hour you could make as a telemarketer.

This company is REALLY in denial with what they do and the products they promote. They are boldly going on the offense, pushing what the company is about. Funny thing is their "REAL" corporate address, phone number and website is clearly displayed on the commercial even though the agents are not allowed to give out the companys info over the phone to their unsuspecting victims on the other end of the line.

I won't knock the fact that their promo was well done but when it comes to its contents, questionable at best. Many people have worked there and I can tell you that most of them hated the experience due to the politics and garbage you have to put up with as an employee.[/color]

[size=7]If anyone has seen the promo in the Tampa Bay area, please tell us. I know I wasn't hilusonating when I saw it.

A woman in McKeesport, Pennsylvania called her local news station crying b/c she got charged for a so called, “discount” package with the same bait scam, free gas and airline vouchers.

Shirley Smorey really believed she was getting $500 worth of free gas and airline vouchers but as usual the package got to her home late and thus Shirley got charged $59.99 membership fee plus the first monthly charge of $19.99. She also got a bounced check fee and is now out more than $113. Yes it’s typical folks that the people who are responsible in promoting this scam Suntasia Marketing in Largo don’t take the heat for it b/c everyone thinks it’s Distinct Advantage that is the only one involved. Make no mistake about it Suntasia is FULLY behind selling the products of Distinct Advantage, Travel Agents Go Direct, Prism, Freedom Gold and other names as well.

Man you are right on point SUNTASIA IS A SCAM! I have been on the phone with them all day today trying to get my money back that they took out of my account with out my permission.. I even asked for there CEO name and number they would not give it to me. But I got news for SUNTASIA and FLORDIAWAY DREAM I have ALL the names of the people I spoke to first and last and I am calling AND sending letters to the BBB, ATTORNY GENERAL OFFICE, AND THE NEWS TO REPORT everyone I spoke to first and last names. I don’t know how they can treat people like that.

I can tell you though that I did contact the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services in Tallahassee two days ago. I was told by the head of the Telemarketing Department there that Suntasia is still under investigation for their illegal debiting practices but even he admitted the company has many, many lawyers working hard on the case with Donald Booth (head of counsel) leading the way. Remember they were caught back in 2000 for deception and had to pay out enormous refunds in many states. They do not want to repeat history.

I suggest you contact him at 1-800-help-fla and file your complaint. You have to hit 1 on your key pad first and then hit the number 5 to have a live agent assist you in filing the complaint over the phone. Believe me Digital they WILL listen b/c the government is very well aware of these crooks.
